The next date of hearing in the matter will be on December 10. Earlier, the Delhi government had filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court urging it to allow construction activities of hospitals in the national capital. The Delhi government said that to prepare for and combat the third wave of Covid-19, the work of improving the infrastructure of the hospitals had been started and the construction of 7 new hospitals was started, but due to the construction restrictions. The Chief Justice said that we have studied the affidavits of the Center and NCT. We have taken into account the proposed instructions. We direct Delhi and the Center to implement the orders of 2nd December. We keep the matter pending and will hear it the next Friday i.e. 10th December.
The central government constituted a task force to deal with pollution
The Central Government has constituted a task force regarding the ongoing air pollution in Delhi-NCR. The Central Government has given information about this by filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court. During the hearing in the Supreme Court on Friday, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told that the Enforcement Task Force and Flying Squad have been constituted by the government to deal with pollution. This task force consists of five members and has been given legislative powers. The task force also has provoking and preventive legislative powers.

Let us tell you that on Thursday itself, the court had asked the Center to take any concrete steps within 24 hours, otherwise instructions will be issued from our side. Apart from this, the matter of formation of the task force had also been said by the Supreme Court.
