A film will be made on IPL founder Lalit Modi, the makers of '83' announced on the 15th anniversary of the tournament

There is a lot of excitement among the people regarding cricket and IPL has given it a new direction. This T20 cricket tournament was started 15 years ago today on April 18, 2008. Which Lalit Modi had brought among the people. Now a film is going to be made about him soon. On the 15th anniversary of IPL, producer Vishnu Vardhan Induri announced making a feature film on former chairman Lalit Modi.

 

Many films based on cricket have already been made in the film industry. In such a situation, it will be quite interesting to see how this film based on Lalit Modi works its magic. Vishnu Vardhan Induri has previously produced Ranveer Singh starrer '83'.

 

Lalit Modi is the person who is given the credit for starting the IPL. Due to the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, the second edition of the IPL was played in South Africa during his tenure. At present, Lalit Modi is living in London.

 

According to the news of news agency ANI, Vishnu Vardhan Induri has said about the film, "Winning the 1983 World Cup was very difficult. No one in the world could have believed that in a few years India would rule the world of cricket. Almost After a quarter-century came a Neil Armstrong moment in the world of cricket. The formation of the biggest cricket league in the world - the Indian Premier League. It changed the world of cricket forever."

 

He added, "The book 'Maverick Commissioner: The IPL - The Lalit Modi Saga' by India's eminent sports journalist Boria Majumdar is a fascinating account of the making of IPL, the world's biggest cricket fair, and about Lalit Modi behind it. There is insight. Glad to announce that we are turning this wonderful book into a feature film."

 

Vishnu Vardhan Induri will adapt the film from Boria Majumdar's book 'Maverick Commissioner: The IPL - The Lalit Modi Saga'.
