The nearly 1,600-page documents mention the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) and the Advanced Aerospace Weapons System Application Program (AAWSAP). Both these plans were funded by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) of America. The report includes research proposals, contracts, and meeting notes.

The documents said that research was also being done in the US on the mysterious technology related to UFOs under AATIP. AATIP was active from 2007 to 2012. This came into the public eye when the former program director resigned from the Pentagon in 2017.
