Rohit became emotional after 8 consecutive defeats: Said on social media - We did not give our best, but it happens

The current season has been no less than a nightmare for Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in IPL history. The team has played 8 matches so far and lost all the matches. Mumbai has become the first team in IPL history to lose the first 8 matches.

After this embarrassing performance, team captain Rohit Sharma made an emotional post on social media for the fans of Mumbai. Rohit tweeted and wrote – We have not done our best in this tournament, but it happens. Many legends of the sporting world have come through this phase, but I love my team and its atmosphere. I would also like to thank our well-wishers who have shown faith in us and shown unwavering loyalty to the team.

very difficult to play in the playoffs

Talking about the points table, with 0 points from 8 matches, Mumbai remains at the bottom 10th position. He still has 6 more matches to play. This season 2 new teams have been entered in the IPL, but the BCCI has kept the number of matches of each team only 14, without changing the format. This was the case in the last season as well. Even if Mumbai wins all its matches from here, then it will have 12 points.

After winning every match, the team gets 2 points in their account. Even after winning all the matches, MI will not be able to reach the 14 points which are necessary to go to the playoffs. However, with 12 points, SRH has played the playoffs in 2019. If Mumbai has to go to the playoffs with 12 points, then the other teams will have to perform very badly.

MI 3 matches at Wankhede

Mumbai Indians have to play the last three matches out of the remaining 6 at their home ground Wankhede Stadium. Rohit & Co can get the benefit of this. Mumbai Indians' track record at the Wankhede ground has been quite good since the 2018 season. The team has played 15 matches on this ground and won 8.
