On thrusday Suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur Told reporters, “I was given 15 days to reply to the chargesheet but I have submitted it within 24 hours… I am not at fault in any of the points stated in the chargesheet. I have never ever been lax towards my duties nor have flouted rules and manuals,”. Thakur reply on the 15 point chargesheet of UP government in dereliction of duty, Anti-establishment approach and disobey supreme court orders. Thakur had visited Singh and recorded a video of the latter on his deathbed. In the video, the journalist had blamed a UP minister of orchestrating the plan to set him on fire.
Another charge was also file against Amitabh Thakur, for making a protest outside the DGP office. 'It was not protest from my side but was only expressing my pain'.
