The flight permit of the airline Jet Airways may be valid again this week. Earlier today, the company will operate the last phase of 'Proving' flights. According to a senior DGCA official, Jet Airways is set to conduct its final phase of 'proving' flights today, after which its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is expected to be re-validated this week.

Explain that 'Proving' flights are operated to show that the airline concerned is capable of providing full services. Proving flights are just like any other commercial flight. These flights are accompanied by officials of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the officers and flight crew of the respective carriers.

Jet Airways stopped flying more than three years ago. It is now being rebuilt under the ownership of the Jalan Colorrock Consortium. Jet Airways had completed the first phase of 'Proving' flights.

A DGCA official said on Monday, "The process of 're-approval of flight permit' of Jet Airways is almost complete. On Tuesday (May 17, 2022), the company will operate its remaining 'Proving' flights. His AOC will be re-validated by this week."

The airline spokesperson also gave information

A total of five landings are to be operated by the aircraft for the successful completion of the process. An airline spokesperson said it would operate the remaining proving flights. The spokesperson, however, declined to comment on the revalidation of the AOC.

"We are operating the rest of our flights on May 17 (Tuesday). We cannot comment on the date of revalidation of AOC (Air Operator Certificate) as it will be determined by the DGCA process," the spokesperson said in a statement.
