Anurag Kashyap is known for making films on offbeat subjects. He gives opportunities to new talents in his films. Why doesn't Anurag work with big superstars? Recently he has explained the reason for this.
Why did Anurag Kashyap never try to work with big stars? Recently, during an interview, the director revealed this and said, 'When I came here to make films, there was a time when I used to run after stars. Everyone used to tell me, you are doing this work without a big star, so imagine what wonders you will do with big stars. I also start thinking.
Anurag further talked about the fanbase of the stars and said, 'I don't know how to do it. If you do not take care of their fanbase while working with stars, then they cancel you. My films get canceled because I am making my film. I don't cater to anyone's friends or fanbase'.
Anurag further said, 'Nothing like this happens in other countries, so there you have more freedom and actors are also around. We worship heroes here. Talking about OTT films and series, Anurag Kashyap said, 'OTT has given a place for stars and there is equality here. Here it is guaranteed that good stars are getting good roles and getting paid well. Now Pankaj Tripathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui can lead the film.
Anurag Kashyap said that big superstars like Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan never try to disappoint their fan base. The director has revealed, 'Even when he is doing a new experiment, he thinks a lot because if his fans are disappointed, he reacts very strongly. Fans of stars follow everyone. After 'Tubelight', Salman Khan's fans went after director Kabir Khan. Talking about 'Haddi', it was released on ZEE5 on 7th September.
