Army foiled a major plot of terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, recovered a car full of IED and blown it

Srinagar, Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir foiled another plot of a major suicide attack like Pulwama. The army recovered an IED-equipped Santro car from Ayan Gund area of ​​Pulwama. Which was later safely destroyed by the bomb defunct squad. Confirming this, IGP Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar said that he got information about this car from reliable sources. It was also learned that this car, designed by the terrorists with IEDs, is to be used against the security forces.

IIG said that based on the information, a joint team of police, army and CRPF blocked the blockade in Ayan Gund area. When the terrorists started passing with this car, they were frightened by the security forces. Security forces became suspicious. He gestured to the car riders to stop there. When the security forces started moving towards the car, taking the position, the terrorists sitting in the car started firing on them. Security forces also fired in response. Seeing himself surrounded, the terrorists left the car and fled from there. Later, when security forces searched the car, IID came out of it.

The security forces immediately cordoned off the area and evacuated it and the defunct squad was called there. Upon investigation, huge quantities of explosives were found in the car. It was not possible to take the car away from its place and hence the security forces blew the car through a controlled explosion there. The car was filled with such a huge amount of explosives that when it was blown up many houses in the vicinity were damaged and a loud explosion was heard.

It is believed that this car was to be used to carry out another terrorist conspiracy like 2019 in Pulwama but it was deferred with the vigilance of the security forces.

Kathua's number on the number plate: The fake number plate on the vehicle in which the IED was found, has Kathua's number written on it. The car has JK-08 1426 number plate, which is Kathua's number. This register number is of Bajaj Chetak scooter. Which is registered in the name of the local resident of Kathua. The Kathua area of ​​Jammu division is a border area and the Hiranagar area here is considered very sensitive to Pakistani infiltration. In such a situation, suspicion of a Pakistani conspiracy behind the explosives being found in this car is also being raised.

Terrorist attack in Pulwama took place on 14 February 2019: Last year on 14 February 2019, a similar car was used for the attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama. The CRPF convoy was attacked by a vehicle loaded with explosives. 40 soldiers of the country were killed in this attack. The Jaish-e-Mohammed militants had hit a car full of IEDs with an army convoy.
