The name and flag of Ghulam Nabi Azad's new party have been finalized. Azad can announce the name of the party on Navratri first today. All the preparations have been done for this. Azad reached Jammu last Sunday morning on a four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
From the Jammu airport, Azad reached his residence in Gandhi Nagar directly. In a brief conversation with reporters outside his residence, Azad said that I have come here to meet leaders and workers. I will invite the media on Monday before launching the party. According to his close friends, the name and flag have been finalized. Soon it will be revealed in a day or two. Sources said that Azad is preparing to announce the name of the party on Navratri earlier today.
A round of meetings went on throughout the day at Azad's residence. Former Deputy Chief Minister Tarachand, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, GM Saroori, Abdul Majeed Wani, Balwan Singh, Gaurav Chopra, Jugal Kishore, etc. participated in this. During this, the name of the party was discussed. After completing his two-day visit to Jammu, Azad will move to Srinagar on September 27. He will hold meetings with party leaders in Kashmir for two days.
Azad was suggested as the name of the party by more than fifteen thousand people from Jammu and Kashmir. Although he has discussed the name of the party in Delhi, he also discussed it in detail with the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir to finalize it. This is the second visit of Ghulam Nabi Azad in September. Earlier, after leaving the Congress, he had come to Jammu and Kashmir on September 4. He held rallies and interacted with more than 400 delegations.
The agenda of the party was clarified but the name of the party could not be decided. Azad has clarified his opinion on Article 370 that this article cannot be returned because it requires a two-thirds majority in the Parliament. He has said that his party will fight to restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, and secure jobs and land rights for the local people.
He will work on respect for women, rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants, and equal development in every area. Most of the Congress leaders have already left the party in support of Azad.
