Badaun: Woman murdered after gang rape, temple priest is the main accused

A 50-year-old woman was brutally murdered after a gang-rape in Ughaiti area of ​​the Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh.

Regarding the incident, Badaun Senior Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma told the BBC, "A 50-year-old woman died under suspicious circumstances under Ughaiti. The case was registered under Section 302 and 376D of the IPC based on Tahrir and postmortem reports of the family Was carried out. Two accused have been arrested. In-charge of the police station has been suspended for being found guilty of negligence in the preliminary investigation in the related case. "

 

Did not return home from temple

 

According to the family of the woman, she went to worship in the temple on Sunday evening, but despite being late, she did not return home, the people of the house got upset.

 

The woman's husband told the BBC, "Mahatma (temple priests) brought the woman home in a critical condition at 11:30 in the night. Her body was bleeding. She died while bleeding. Vedram with Mahatma Satyanarayana And the driver was Jaspal too. "

 

The family alleges that this complaint was made in the police station, but the police did not register any report.

 

On Tuesday, when the report of the postmortem came and it showed that apart from the gangrape, in a heinous manner, the police registered an FIR and arrested two people on Wednesday.

 

Satyanarayana, the main accused and the priest of the temple, is still absconding.

 

Dr. Yashpal, Chief Medical Officer of Badaun, gave information about the postmortem report in a conversation with the media.

 

He said, "The postmortem report has minor parts and fractures in the private parts. There is also a fracture in one leg. The rest are such injuries as are caused by a rod. It can happen anywhere. Due to that much bleeding Has occurred and the patient went into shock due to the bleeding which led to his death. Prima facie it seems to be rape because the injuries are found on the private parts because of this. It is known that the remaining viscera was sent for investigation. Is. More things will become clear when the report arrives. "

 

According to family and locals, the police of Ughaini police station first tried to make the case an accident, but when the postmortem report came to know about the heinousness. So a case of murder and gang-rape was registered.

 

According to the woman's son, they had informed the police in the night but the police reached there the next day.

 

Priest's statement misled

According to family members, despite giving Tahrir on Monday, the FIR was not registered. The FIR was registered when the postmortem was done.

 

Local journalist Chittaranjan Singh says that the main accused, the temple's priest Satyanarayana, kept making statements in the media for two days that the woman died after falling into a well.

 

According to him, the police continued to take action based on the statement of the first priest Satyanarayana, while the family was accusing him of gangrape and murder in his Tahrir.

 

In an interaction with the media after the incident, the priest said, "The woman fell into the well. I called Vedram and Jaspal for help. When they were extracted with the help of those people, they were dead. Then we went to their house Arrived.

 

Till the time the local police postmortem report did not come, the priest was going based on Satyanarayana's statement that he was right.

 

According to the local people, it is difficult to reach the well in which the priest had told about the fall. In such a situation, no one is going to embrace it.
