Beginning with a victory under the captaincy of Pandya: India beat Ireland by 7 wickets in the first T20, Umran Malik was a flop in the debut match

Hardik Pandya started his captaincy career in international cricket with a win. Team India won the first T20 match against Ireland by 7 wickets on Saturday. Pandya himself managed to shine with both the ball and the bat. He took 1 wicket in Ireland's innings and later scored 24 runs in 11 balls.

Due to rain, the match was reduced to 12 overs per innings. Batting first after losing the toss, Ireland scored 108 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Harry Tector scored the highest 64 runs. In reply, Team India achieved the target in 9.2 overs for the loss of three wickets. Deepak Hooda scored an unbeaten 47. Ishan Kishan scored 26 runs.

Umran Malik's debut could not be memorable

In this match, Umran Malik's dream of playing for the country was fulfilled, although this match did not become memorable for him. Umran, who became India's 98th cricketer in T20 International, got only 1 over bowled. In this, he conceded 14 runs.

Bhuvi took the wicket in the very first over

Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave India a strong start in the match. In the very first over, he made Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie (0) walk the pavilion. Pandya dismissed the dangerous Paul Stirling (4) in the next over. Avesh Khan took the wicket of Gareth Delany. After this, Harry Tector took over Ireland's innings and took the team to a respectable score.

However, this score proved to be very modest for India and the team easily chased it based on the innings of Ishaan, Hooda, and Pandya. The second T20 match will be played on 28 June.

Playing 11 of both the teams

India: Ishan Kishan, Rituraj Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya (captain), Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Umran Malik, and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Ireland: Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie (captain), Gareth Delany, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Andy McBrian, George Dockrell, Mark Eder, Craig Young, Conor Olfett, Joshua Little.

Ireland is hosting India after four years

Team India is currently the most sought-after team in the world. Every cricket board wants him to host the Indian team and earn as much from a series as he usually does in one to two years. The result is that cricket nascent like Ireland gets the privilege of hosting Indian stars after many years. Team India has gone to Ireland for the first time since 2018.

In 2018 India played two T20Is there and won both. Since then no match of any format has been held between the two teams in any corner of the world.
