Bengaluru Tech Summit: India ranked 40th in Global Innovation Index, PM Modi spoke at Bengaluru Tech Summit

Inaugurating the Bengaluru Tech Summit today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India has reached the 40th position in the Global Innovation Index this year. In 2015 it was ranked 81st. This success has been achieved based on Indian talent.

 

 

PM Modi in his pre-recorded speech said that Bengaluru is number 1 in India's innovation index. Bangalore is the home of technology. It is an inclusive and innovative city. The PM said that the number of unicorn startups has doubled in the country. Now we are at number three in the world. This has been possible based on Indian talent.

 

PM Modi inaugurated the Silver Jubilee edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS-22) through teleconferencing. It is Asia's largest technology event. Karnataka IT Minister CN Ashwath Narayan said nine MoUs will be signed and more than 20 products will be launched at the three-day event being held at the Bengaluru Palace Ground.

 

The event is organized with the theme TechForexGen

The 25th edition of the tech event is being organized with the theme Tech4NexGen. On this occasion, over twelve start-ups from Bengaluru that have emerged as unicorns in the last year will be honored with the 'Bengaluru Impact' award. The International Exhibition is the mega attraction of the event with over 550 exhibitors. Around 50,000 visitors are expected at the expo.

 

Major companies of ITE and Biotech will be included

The exhibition featured leading ITE and Biotech companies such as Robert Bosch, Kindril, Shell, Builder AI, Paytm, Zoho, Micron, ACT, Cash Free, Razorpay, Biocon, Accenture, Origin, Intel, and Finicia, among others. The Start-up Pavilion will have 330 exhibitors from different sectors. International pavilions include Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, the UK, South Korea, and Denmark, according to the organizers.
