Covid Update: Relief from Corona in the country, 173 new cases found in 24 hours; Active patients also decreased

173 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the country, due to which the total number increased to 4.46 (4,46,78,822) crores. Active cases have seen a decline of 2,670. The death toll has so far climbed to 5,30,707 with two deaths, one in Kerala and one in Uttarakhand, according to the data updated by the ministry at 8 am.

 

The death rate due to corona is 1.19 percent

The ministry said that the daily positivity rate of Corona has been recorded at 0.17 percent while the weekly positivity rate has been estimated at 0.15 percent. The ministry said that in the last 24 hours, 1,57,671 tests have been done to detect Covid.

 

Active cases comprise 0.01 percent of the total infections, while the national recovery rate has risen to 98.80 percent, according to the health ministry's website. It added that a decrease of 36 cases has been registered in the active COVID-19 caseload in 24 hours. The number of people who have been cured of the disease has increased to 4,41,45, 445, while the death rate has been recorded at 1.19 percent.

According to the ministry, 220.10 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been given so far in the country under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign. India's COVID-19 tally crossed the 20 lakh mark on August 7, 2020, 30 lahks on August 23, 40 lahks on September 5, 50 lahks on September 16, 60 lahks on September 28, 11 October 70 lakh on 29 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and touched one crore on 19 December 2020. The country touched two crores on May 4, 2021, three crores on June 23, 2021, and four crores on January 25.
