Pakistan: Commission may be formed to investigate the attack on Imran, PM Shahbaz Sharif recommended after allegations against himself

A court commission may be set up to investigate the attempt to assassinate Imran Khan. It has been recommended by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif himself. He has demanded the formation of a full court commission from Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandiyal.

 

Indeed, on the second day of the attack, Imran Khan accused Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and Major General Faisal Naseer of plotting to kill. After this, Shehbaz Sharif recommended the formation of a full court commission comprising senior judges besides the Chief Justice to investigate the allegations against him. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he had said that he would also write an official letter in this regard.

 

Chief Justice can consider

Sources have been told in media reports that the Supreme Court is waiting for an official letter in this matter. At the same time, the Chief Justice can also discuss this issue with other judges. However, it is also being said that the Prime Minister cannot demand the constitution of the commission from the Chief Justice. The authority of the court commission rests with the Chief Justice.

 

The attack took place during the independence march

Let us tell you, in the past, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was attacked. The attack took place when Imran Khan was taking out Hakiki Azadi March. During this, two gunmen opened fire on him. However, Imran Khan survived the attack and the bullet hit his leg. Soon after, one of the attackers was caught by the mob. While Imran Khan was admitted to the hospital. Just a day later, Imran Khan accused Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif of plotting to assassinate him.
