Reaction is also coming from the sports world regarding the 'India vs. India' controversy. Indian men's hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh said that the transition from India to India will be challenging. Sreejesh said on Tuesday that 'India' has always been there.

The controversy escalated when President Draupadi Murmu sent invitations to heads of state, heads of government, and chief ministers of state for an official banquet during the G20 summit in New Delhi. The word Bharat was written instead of India on this invitation card. Since then a political uproar has started among the members of the opposition India coalition.

The transition from 'India to Bharat' will be challenging

Expressing his reaction to the 'India vs Bharat' controversy, PR Sreejesh said, I never felt that way because we always say 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. That's why India is always there. Now instead of India, we are writing Bharat. I guess that would be a little strange for me because you are so used to the term. You have been carrying this word for so many years. But, this will be a new experience for the youth and they will not have any problem with it. But yes, the transition from India to India is going to be challenging.

Asian Games will be held from 23rd September

India will compete in the Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8. Given this, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) launched the official dress and sports kit on Tuesday. The IOA also organized a grand farewell ceremony which was attended by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Sports Anurag Thakur, IOA President and ace sprinter PT Usha along with other senior officials.

The Indian contingent was represented by Indian hockey goalkeepers PR Sreejesh (men), Savita Punia (women), shooting star Manu Bhaker and 2018 Asian Games shotput gold medalist Tajinderpal Singh Toor, and players from several other disciplines.
