Islamabad High Court has given great relief to former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. The court has given him a pre-arrest bail, which means that he will not be able to be arrested till August 25. Significantly, a case has been registered against Imran Khan under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The case was registered for threatening the Additional Sessions Judge and some police officers during a rally. In this case, the sword of arrest was hanging over him. During the hearing of the case, the Islamabad High Court ordered Imran Khan to appear before the Anti-Terrorism Court on August 25. At the same time, the police have been told that till then they should not be arrested.
The legal team filed a petition
The Islamabad High Court has given this decision after a petition filed by the legal team of Imran's party Pakistan Tehreek Insaf on Monday. According to the local media of Pakistan, while hearing the petition, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani asked about the objections raised on the FIR. In response, Imran's lawyer said that his client's house has been cordoned off. Due to this, he is not able to reach the court.
Allegations of the government in the petition
Imran's lawyers Babar Awan and Faisal Choudhary had filed a pre-arrest bail petition. According to the petition, Imran Khan is being targeted by the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement. It has been claimed that Imran Khan is raising his voice against corruption and corrupt politicians. That's why they are being harassed. It has also been said in the petition that the government has crossed all limits to arrest Imran Khan. According to this, the allegations have also been leveled against him falsely.
