It is likely to start with a weekend lockdown. In this regard, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a five-hour high-level review meeting through video conferencing. After this meeting on Tuesday, a final decision can be taken at the disaster management group meeting on Wednesday. It is likely that after the meeting, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should inform about this by late evening.

The high-level meeting on Tuesday was attended by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar along with the Deputy Chief Minister and top officials of various departments along with the District Magistrates of all the 38 districts. The District Magistrates informed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar about the situation in their respective districts. The disaster management group meeting will be discussed on Wednesday on the feedback received from the districts and the latest situation of coronavirus infection. The necessary decision will be taken in the meeting to deal with Coronas infection.
Already agreed to lockdown
According to sources, a high level of agreement has been reached regarding the weekend lockdown in Bihar. Now it has been assumed that people are going out on some pretext. Night curfew is also not showing much effect. In such a situation, strict steps must be taken to break the chain of infection. This drastic step can be a full or partial lockdown. It is believed that the state government may start with partial or aweekend lockdown in a day or two. If this does not improve, then a full lockdown can also be imposed. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has already said that any step can be taken if there is a need to prevent coronavirus infection.
The situation of corona infection has become explosive
It may be noted that the situation of coronavirus infection in Bihar has become explosive. The number of active patients in the state has reached close to one lakh. If the infection rate is increasing, then the rate of being healthy is decreasing. Death figures have also increased. In such a situation, the government does not seem to have any option but to take tough decisions.
