A security audit of the area was not done, and there was commotion throughout the day at Tughlaq Road police station

After the breach in the security of Parliament and the blast near the Israel Embassy, now questions are being raised on the security of New Delhi District Police. It is being told that the security audit of the place where the blast was reported has not been done. Regarding this, there was commotion throughout the day in the Tughlaq Road police station area of the New Delhi district.

Officials of the Special Cell, Intelligence Department, and other security agencies remained stationed at Tughlaq Road police station. A senior Delhi Police officer said that the New Delhi district is very sensitive in terms of security. All the VVIPs live here. In such a situation, a security audit is conducted every year regarding security at all places. After this, security is done accordingly and policemen are deployed.

Police sources say that there was no security audit of the blast site. This place is an empty plot in which people come and go easily. Earlier, a case of lapse in the security of Parliament had come to light. The investigation of this case has been handed over to the Special Cell from New Delhi. After this, on Wednesday itself, a constable posted in New Delhi committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. Police sources say that New Delhi District Police Deputy Commissioner Pravan Tayal and Duty Path ACP Virendra Jain have been on leave for several days.

At the same time, police officials said that they suspected that the perpetrators of the incident had hatched a conspiracy and knew that there was no CCTV camera installed near the spot on Prithviraj Road. A low-intensity explosion took place on Tuesday evening in the area between the house (Nanda House) on plot no. 4 on Prithviraj Road and the Central Hindi Training Institute on plot no. 2A.

This area is behind the Israeli Embassy located on Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road and parallel to Prithviraj Road. According to officials, the accused probably wanted to convey their message without harming anyone.

Police scanning footage for route mapping of suspects

Police are investigating for route mapping of the suspects, who were seen walking on the road near the site shortly before the blast. Additionally, the police have also started analyzing the dump data of the said location to identify the phone.

Police sources said that during this period about five thousand phone numbers were active in the area. Police had received information about the blast, but officials said nothing of the sort was found at the scene. Earlier, the police had received a letter addressed to the ambassador near the embassy on Tuesday evening in connection with the blast call. Threatening words were used in this. The name of the group written on the letter is Sir Allah Resistance.

After this, at around 6 pm, the police reached the spot along with fire services and bomb disposal squad. Experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team also reached the spot.
