
Schools and colleges in Delhi are receiving bomb threats every day. Officials said that more than 20 schools in Delhi have received bomb threats through email. According to the police, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, Delhi, has received a bomb threat. When the information about the bomb threat was received, a team from the fire department and the Delhi Police reached the spot. The team is investigating.
Giving information, the Delhi Fire Services Department said that the investigation is underway. In the last three days, ten schools and one college in Delhi had received bomb threats through email, after which the police took action and temporarily closed the schools.
Richmond Global School, located in the Paschim Vihar area of Delhi, has also received a bomb threat. Information about a bomb was received at Richmond Global School located in Paschim Vihar in the early hours of Friday. The information was received through email at 4.55 am. As soon as the information was received, the local police, along with the bomb squad, dog squad, and fire brigade personnel, reached the spot. Every inch of the school is being searched. No suspicious object has been found so far. Students will be allowed to enter the school only after the search operation. Abhinav Public School, located in Rohini Sector 3, also received a bomb threat.
So far, these schools have received threats.
Panic spread in the national capital after five private schools in Delhi received bomb threats on Wednesday morning. The school premises were immediately evacuated for a thorough investigation. However, nothing was found after an investigation in all the schools. The police declared all the information to be false.
For the third consecutive day, educational institutions in the national capital have been threatened with bombs being placed on the premises through email. A fire service official said that after St. Thomas School in Dwarka received an email threatening to blow it up, the fire department was informed about it at 5.26 am. He said that Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj received the threatening email at 6.30 am, Mother International in Hauz Khas at 8.12 am, and Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar at 8.11 am.
10 schools and colleges received threats in three days
Two days ago, Delhi Police had issued a statement saying that St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Mother's International School in Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate received bomb threats through email this morning. In the last three days, about 10 schools and a college have received such bomb threats.
A senior police officer had said that Sardar Patel Vidyalaya in Lodhi Estate had also received a threatening email. He had said that a thorough search of the school was done and nothing suspicious was found till Wednesday evening.
In an email sent to parents, school officials had said that Sardar Patel Vidyalaya will remain closed today due to the bomb threat and at the advice of the police. The bomb squad conducted a thorough search of the premises. This bomb threat to St. Thomas School was given for the second time in less than 24 hours. In total, nine schools in Delhi received 10 bomb threat emails.
