BRICS Summit: Indian Ambassador Rawat told the Chinese Foreign Minister – China should think seriously to maintain peace on LAC

Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi ahead of the BRICS summit and stressed the seriousness of maintaining peace in the border areas. He said, from the point of view of Asia and the world, it is very important to establish peace in the border areas between the two countries. Rawat took over as the Indian Ambassador to China in March.

 

Rawat on Wednesday held a courtesy call on the Chinese Foreign Minister at the Diaoyutai State Guest House. This was his first meeting with the External Affairs Minister after assuming office. Bilateral and multi-faceted issues were discussed between Rawat and Wang. Wang Yi said, at the highest level between the leaderships of the two countries, there is agreement on the importance of bilateral relations for Asia and the world.

Rawat also agreed to this and stressed the seriousness of maintaining peace and tranquility in the border areas to realize it to its full potential. Rawat and Wang's meeting assumes significance amid the ongoing tension between the two countries along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.

 

Military level talks are going on between the two countries to restore peace on the border. As a result of this, both the countries have completely withdrawn their forces from the north and south of Pangong Lake and the Gogra area. India's common interests are far more important than differences: Wang

 

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Rawat, "Shared interests with India are more important than our differences." Both sides should meet each other so that the bilateral relations can be put on the track to stable and healthy development at the earliest.

He called for adherence to the important strategic agreement between the leaders of the two countries. China and India should also focus on their traditional advantages in cultural exchange, he said.

 

India-China talks on return and direct flight of medical students

 

India and China held talks regarding the return of thousands of Indian students trapped in their homes for two years due to China's ban on the Corona epidemic. Along with this, there was also a discussion on resuming the interrupted direct flight service due to Corona. There are thousands of students studying in China and most of them are medical students.

 

His studies have been affected due to the travel ban. The most complicated issue in the talks between India's Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was the return of Indian students. Wang expressed hope that progress will be made on this issue soon. The Chinese Foreign Minister also talked about the resumption of direct flights from China to India.

 

China's biggest security concern for India-Australia: Marles

 

Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles said China is busy capturing neighboring borders with the help of aggression. There should be equitable distribution of the corona vaccine

 

BRICS leaders have stressed equitable distribution of the corona vaccine and expediting vaccination. He understands the importance of the proposal on exemptions in intellectual property at the WTO. Especially in developing countries, there are advocates for developing capacity and increasing the production of vaccines and other equipment at the local level.

BRICS will grow only with the consent and the country

 

The leaders of the five-nation grouping of BRICS said on Thursday that they would continue to discuss the possibility of including more countries in the grouping. Any decision on this will be taken only after full consultation and consensus among the member countries. In a joint declaration after the summit, the leaders said, we are satisfied with the development of BRICS. We are all advocates of adapting to change with the times.

 

Apart from PM Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa pledged cooperation on all issues. Apart from expanding BRICS, he also stressed clarifying its guiding principles. Chinese President Xi Jinping especially emphasized the expansion of this group.

 

He said that BRICS would get new vitality with the addition of new members. This will increase the cooperation, representation, and impact of BRICS. He said that before moving forward in this direction it is important that the BRICS family includes like-minded partners.

 

The need for comprehensive reforms to make the United Nations more effective

Leaders of BRICS countries, including PM Modi, emphasized comprehensive reform of the United Nations to make it more effective. Members also stressed increasing representation in the Security Council. The members appreciated the role of India and Brazil in the Security Council for the years 2021-22 and 22-23 respectively. At the same time, the members advocated for the promotion and protection of democracy, human rights, and freedoms for all, as well as the creation of a bright shared future for the world fraternity.
