Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi ahead of the BRICS summit and stressed the seriousness of maintaining peace in the border areas. He said, from the point of view of Asia and the world, it is very important to establish peace in the border areas between the two countries. Rawat took over as the Indian Ambassador to China in March.

Rawat on Wednesday held a courtesy call on the Chinese Foreign Minister at the Diaoyutai State Guest House. This was his first meeting with the External Affairs Minister after assuming office. Bilateral and multi-faceted issues were discussed between Rawat and Wang. Wang Yi said, at the highest level between the leaderships of the two countries, there is agreement on the importance of bilateral relations for Asia and the world.

Rawat also agreed to this and stressed the seriousness of maintaining peace and tranquility in the border areas to realize it to its full potential. Rawat and Wang's meeting assumes significance amid the ongoing tension between the two countries along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh.

Military level talks are going on between the two countries to restore peace on the border. As a result of this, both the countries have completely withdrawn their forces from the north and south of Pangong Lake and the Gogra area. During the conversation, Wang referred to the conversation with Foreign Minister Jaishankar in March.

India's common interests are far more important than differences: Wang

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Rawat, "Shared interests with India are more important than our differences." Both sides should support rather than weaken each other, strengthen cooperation rather than guard against each other. Mutual trust should be increased. Both sides should meet each other so that the bilateral relations can be put on the track to stable and healthy development at the earliest.

Let the two countries face global challenges together. Protect the common interests of yourself and that of other developing countries. He called for adherence to the important strategic agreement between the leaders of the two countries. China and India should also focus on their traditional advantages in cultural exchange, he said.

India-China talks on return and direct flight of medical students

Along with this, there was also a discussion on resuming the interrupted direct flight service due to Corona. There are thousands of students studying in China and most of them are medical students.

His studies have been affected due to the travel ban. The most complicated issue in the talks between India's Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was the return of Indian students. Wang expressed hope that progress will be made on this issue soon. The Chinese Foreign Minister also talked about the resumption of direct flights from China to India.

China's biggest security concern for India-Australia: Marles

Australia's Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles said China is busy capturing neighboring borders with the help of aggression. Be it the situation on the LAC in Eastern Ladakh two years ago or the maneuvering of the South China Sea. China is following the strategy of creating fear and grabbing the ground by showing its power by ignoring the rules. Marles is on a four-day visit to India. Marles said China is the "biggest security concern" for Australia and India as it seeks to build a world around us like never before.

In the past few years, we have particularly felt China's more aggressive behavior in this regard. China is its biggest trading partner not only for Australia but also for India. At the same time, it is the biggest security concern for us and India as well. Australia stands in solidarity with China over the ongoing border dispute with China in eastern Ladakh.

Will expand defense ties with India

Marles said India and Australia are working closely on bilateral relations not only in the economic sector but also in the defense sector so that the defense and security position of both countries can be strengthened. New Delhi and Canberra remain committed to expanding their defense and security ties.

The growing friendship between China and Russia is also a matter of concern: Marles said, the increasing defense and security cooperation between China and Russia is also a matter of concern. This friendship will have an impact on the region. In such a situation, maintaining peace in the world is most important.

Quad and Ocus, not a security alliance: Regarding the 'Quad' group consisting of India, America, Australia, and Japan, he said that it is not a security alliance, as it does not have defense-related dimensions.
