Delhi Police is trying to find the concrete evidence against Aftab Amin Poonawalla, accused of brutally killing live-in partner Shraddha Walker. The Delhi Police, which has been searching the Mehrauli forest for two days, has so far found about 25 pieces of Shraddha's dead body. Of these, 11 pieces were found on Tuesday, while 14 pieces were recovered on Monday itself.
Maharashtra Police made shocking revelations
Manikpur police in Maharashtra have made a shocking disclosure about Aftab Poonawala. When Aftab was called to Mumbai for questioning earlier this month, there was no remorse on his face. Assistant police inspector Sampatrao Patil told news agency PTI that Manikpur police in Palghar's Vasai town called Poonawalla for questioning last month and on November 3, after Walker filed a missing complaint. On both occasions, she told police that Walker had left her and that they were no longer living together.
Aftab was very confident
Aftab Poonawala was arrested by the Delhi Police in May this year. Patil said that Poonawalla was first called for questioning in October, but was then asked to leave. Later on November 3, Aftab was called again and his two-page statement was recorded. In both interrogations, Aftab appeared very confident and did not show any remorse on his face.
Police could not suspect Aftab despite hours of questioning
According to the official, last month, the Mumbai Police had gone to Delhi's Mehrauli police station and questioned Poonawalla. During this also he had not told anything about Walker. "We interrogated him for hours at the Delhi police station as well, but never doubted him," the officer said. Rajat Shukla, a close aide of Walker, said that Poonawala might be pressurizing him to convert.
Love Jihad or Psychopath?
Rajat Shukla said that Aftab Poonawalla is not an ordinary man, there could be love jihad, terrorism, or any mission in the whole matter...the matter should be investigated and the truth should come out. He was misleading people but the truth should come out now. He said that Aftab Poonawalla did not seem to be a lover because such a person cannot commit a heinous crime like cutting the body of his loved one into pieces and keeping them in the refrigerator and hiding them in the forest. Shukla also said that he came to know about Aftab being in a live-in relationship with Walker in 2019. He added, "But it seems both were in a relationship since 2018 and kept it private. Some of our friends had also met Poonawalla".
