Captain Kane Williamson played the trick of MS Dhoni in T20 World Cup, did the job

If you follow cricket, then you will remember that in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had decided to open Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma, who made his international debut in the year 2007, used to play down the middle order and was unable to leave his mark, but as soon as he was promoted to the top order, his and Team India's fortunes changed. One such move was made by New Zealand team captain Kane Williamson in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Kane Williamson has opened the tournament with a batsman who used to bat at number four and sometimes at number 5 or 6 in international cricket. However, as soon as this player was promoted, he proved that he could strike with the new ball and could be useful to the team. This batsman is none other than Darryl Mitchell, who has emerged as the match-winner for the team in the T20 World Cup 2021. Especially the innings he played against England in the semi-final match was amazing in many ways.

New Zealand was chasing 167 runs in the semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2021 against England. New Zealand was being dealt one blow after another, but Darryl Mitchell was at the other end. Even he scored 46 runs in 40 balls, but in the next seven balls, he changed the course of the match. He managed to score 72 runs in 47 balls with the help of 4 fours and 4 sixes. He added 26 runs in the last seven balls of his innings. These runs were enough to lay the foundation for victory and finish the match, which came in handy for the team.

There was not a single occasion in this T20 World Cup when Daryl Mitchell could not cross the double-figure. He has scored 27 against Pakistan, 49 against India, 13 against Scotland, 19 against Namibia, 17 against Afghanistan, and 72 not out against England. At the same time, before this tournament, he could cross the double-figure mark in 15 matches only five times. At that time he used to bat in the middle order, where he had to play only quick innings and he would fail on most of the occasions.
