Captain Amarinder Singh will appear before the media in Chandigarh on Wednesday. There are speculations that after resigning from the Congress, Captain Amarinder Singh may give information about his new party or what will be his next step. Assembly elections are also near in Punjab. In such a situation, the arrival of Captain Amarinder Singh in front of the media tomorrow is giving a big indication.
The Captain had resigned as the Chief Minister of Punjab last month following a tussle with state Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu. The former chief minister later announced that he would quit the Congress, and form his political party to serve the interests of Punjab and its people. He had also said that he would have no problem in allying with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) if the central government withdraws the three agriculture laws.
Amarinder Singh was recently embroiled in a controversy regarding his Pakistani friend Arusa Alam. In which Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Randhawa had doubted his links with Pakistan's spy agency ISI.
Randhawa also said that the state government will get the matter probed. Amarinder Singh on Monday released photographs of Alam along with several senior politicians and other dignitaries. Also said that after seeing these pictures, the opponents should think before speaking.
