There is a possibility of rain in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Nainital and Champawat on Saturday. Light to moderate snowfall may occur in places with an altitude of 2500 meters and above.

Warning issued regarding avalanche

A warning has been issued regarding avalanches in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar of Uttarakhand. Chamoli district is most at risk in this. Let us tell you that on Friday, a massive avalanche occurred due to the breaking of the glacier in Mana, Uttarakhand. Due to this, the BRO camp has been damaged.

 

It was told that about 57 workers are reported here. Many routes have been closed due to avalanches. At the same time, damage has also been caused in many places. Due to rain and snowfall in the border district, traffic has come to a halt beyond Ganganani on the Gangotri Highway. There has been an avalanche in Dabrani on the highway between Ganganani and Gangotri.

The Army and ITBP present in Badrinath Dham are engaged in the search for the missing workers. After tireless efforts, the Indian Army has rescued 14 more workers. At the same time, helicopter service has also been started. So far 47 people buried in the snow have been rescued. 8 people are still being searched.

At the same time, CM Dhami took detailed information about the relief and rescue operation being carried out to evacuate the workers trapped in the avalanche near Mana over the phone. Among the workers who were evacuated yesterday, the officials have been directed to airlift the seriously injured to send them to higher centers.

 

He said that I was also leaving for Chamoli to do a field inspection. With the weather clearing, relief and rescue operations have been expedited. With the blessings of Lord Badri Vishal and the tireless efforts of the rescue workers, efforts are being made to rescue all the workers trapped in the snow as soon as possible.

 

More than 40 villages of Gopeshwar are covered with snow. Auli, Badrinath, Joshimath Malari, and Gopeshwar Chopta highways are blocked due to snowfall. In Chamoli district, snowfall has been continuing in more than 40 villages along with Shri Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, Auli, and Jyotirmath, and rain in lower places for the last two days.

Gopeshwar Chopta highway is closed due to snow beyond Dhautidhar. While Auli Joshimath motor road is closed in the area of ​​four km ahead of Kawand Band. Niti Malari highway is closed beyond Bhapkund. While Badrinath highway is closed due to Hanuman Chatti snowfall. There has been a heavy hailstorm around Gopeshwar.

 

Due to snowfall, more than 24 villages in the Ganga and Yamuna valleys have been covered with snow. Due to rain and snowfall, electricity supply has been disrupted in a total of 48 villages in both valleys. Three feet of snow has accumulated in Yamunotri Dham due to continuous snowfall. Four feet of snowfall is expected in Gangotri Dham.

 

Life has been badly affected due to continuous rain in all tehsil areas including the district headquarters. Due to snowfall, the movement of normal vehicles beyond Sukki Top on Gangotri Highway was halted last Thursday. On Friday, due to snowfall on the highway, movement beyond Gangani came to a halt.

After this, vehicles going from Badrinath Highway were diverted from Bhadrakali and sent to Srinagar via Chamba. It was told that the route was kept diverted for about two hours. The SSI said that given the weather conditions, constant contact is being maintained with the surrounding police station areas.
