Child assaulted for taking help of car: Driver came out and kicked 6-year-old innocent, incident caught on CCTV

In Kannur, Kerala, a case of kicking a 6-year-old boy for taking the help of a car has come to light. The child has a back injury. The police registered a case and arrested the accused car driver on Friday morning. CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced.

 

It shows a white car parked on the side of the road. A child comes and stands by his support when the driver gets out of the car angrily and says something to the boy. Then immediately he kicks her. The child first takes care of himself, then leaves from there. Some locals gather around the car and question the driver, but he runs away.

 

Police swung into action after the video went viral

The incident took place in the Thalassery area around 8.30 pm on Thursday. An eyewitness informed the police soon after the incident. Following the complaint, the accused was called to the police station but was released. The video of the entire incident went viral and people started getting furious for not taking action on the matter. After this, the police caught the accused. The accused has been identified as Shihshad, a resident of Ponnayampalam.

Police said that the accused has been charged with section 308 (murder attempt), which is a non-bailable offense. The police took the boy's statement on Friday. The six-year-old is the son of a Rajasthani migrant laborer. He has a back injury. At present, he is undergoing treatment.

 

State Education Minister said – such incidents should not be repeated

Expressing grief over the incident, state education minister V Shivankutty said that humanity is not something that you can buy from shops. He said such incidents should not be repeated. At the same time, Speaker of the Assembly and Thalassery MLA AN Shamseer said that strict action will be taken against the accused.
