Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has responded to the statement of BJP's Gujarat unit chief CR Patil. He said that by giving free Revdi not to the public but your friends and ministers, a situation like Sri Lanka is created. In fact, on Wednesday, without naming AAP, Patil had said that people should not fall prey to 'Rewari culture' as it could lead to the state and India becoming Sri Lanka which is currently facing a serious economic crisis.
Responding to the BJP Gujarat chief, Kejriwal said, "Giving free Revdi to the public does not lead to a situation like Sri Lanka. By giving it to your friends/ministers. The Sri Lankan used to give free Rewari to his friends. If he had given it to the public, then the public would not have driven him by entering his house. Free Revdi is God's prasad to the public. Fee revdi sin to friends.' Patil had made BJP workers aware of Revdi culture during a program in Gandhinagar.
These people want to make Gujarat Sri Lanka
The BJP leader had said, "Some people in the country are distributing revdi (free things). But the people of Gujarat should not be misled by such Rewari culture. Do these people (AAP) want to make Gujarat Sri Lanka? We should give a befitting reply to such people. BJP workers should explain to the people and warn them about the consequences of Revdi culture. We can see the situation in Sri Lanka on TV which is worrying. This has happened because of distributing things for free.
free electricity announcement
Kejriwal, who is on a Gujarat tour, announced free electricity before the assembly elections. He said that inflation has increased significantly. Electricity prices are also increasing continuously. We have given free electricity in Delhi. Free electricity was given in Punjab for three months. Now if you form the government in Gujarat, we will give free electricity. He said that I promise free electricity as the first guarantee in Gujarat.
