Urvashi Rautela: Actress's statement causes uproar, former priest of Badrinath Dham condemns it, explains the importance of the temple

Former Dharmadhikari of Badrinath Bhuvan Chandra Uniyal has condemned the statement given by Hindi film actress Urvashi Rautela regarding the Urvashi temple located in Badrinath Dham. He has talked about taking action against those who hurt religious sentiments.

 

Urvashi Rautela, in a recent interview, has said that the Urvashi temple located near the Badrinath temple is named after her. She said that this temple is dedicated to her. Devotees come to this temple to pay obeisance in her name.

 

Former Dharmadhikari Bhuvan Chandra Uniyal said that this temple is dedicated to Mata Sati, the wife of Lord Shiva. When Mata Sati gave up her body in the fire pit, her body parts fell in various places. There are 108 such Shaktipeeths in the whole of India.

 

The Tirthapurohit Mahapanchayat opposed the statement.

The Mahapanchayat warned that if the statement given about the Urvashi temple near Badrinath Dham is not taken back and an apology is not made, then a petition will be filed in the court.

 

Mahapanchayat's general secretary Dr. Brijesh Sati and spokesperson Anirudh Prasad Uniyal said, a statement of actress Urvashi Rautela is going viral on social media. In which she said that the Urvashi temple near Badrinath Dham is named after her. The Mahapanchayat has objected to this. Urvashi temple near Badrinath Dham is the presiding deity of the area.

 

The statement in the viral video has hurt people's faith. In the viral video, the actress has said that she is working in South Indian films, she wants a temple to be built in her name in South India as well. The Mahapanchayat warned that actress Urvashi should take back her statement and apologize. Otherwise, a case will be filed against her in the court.
