China has once again claimed India's Arunachal Pradesh. The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said this while responding to the abduction of a 17-year-old child from Arunachal by the Chinese army. Earlier, regarding the kidnapping of a 17-year-old Indian child from Arunachal Pradesh, the Chinese Foreign Ministry had said that there was no information about this incident.

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman has said that Jangnan (China has been calling Arunachal Pradesh South Tibet or Jangnan) is part of the Chinese Xizang region. China has always opposed India's illegal encroachment on Jangnan. The People's Liberation Army controls the border by the law and cracks down on illegal border entry and exit.

Arunachal Pradesh MP Tapir Gao said on January 19 that a 17-year-old child was abducted by Chinese troops from the Upper Siang district in the state. Gao had said that the kidnapped teenager has been identified as Miram Taron. He said that the Chinese military kidnapped the teenager from the Lungta Jor area of Seungla area and that Taron's friend Johnny Yiying, who managed to escape, informed the local authorities about the kidnapping.

Military contact with China

On January 20, it has been told by the Indian Army that the Chinese Army has been contacted on the hotline. The Indian Army has told the People's Liberation Army that 17-year-old Miram Taron, who was in search of hunting and herbs, has lost his way and is unable to find it. The People's Liberation Army has been asked to trace the teenager and send him back to India as per protocol.

Recently China changed the names of 15 places in Arunachal

On 30 December 2021, China changed the names of many places in Arunachal Pradesh and kept the names of these places in Chinese words. China had claimed its right to change the names of the areas of the Arunachal region.
