Vivo S70 Launch Soon? Leaked Specs Reveal 1.5K OLED Display and 64MP Camera

Posted on 26th Oct 2026 01:25 pm by rohit kumar

Vivo is reportedly preparing a new S-series smartphone, with early leaks offering a glimpse of the expected Vivo S70 specifications. The upcoming phone is tipped to feature a 1.5K OLED display supplied by Visionox, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Another potential highlight is support for an external telephoto converter, which could offer additional zoom capabilities for photography. Vivo has not officially announced the S70, so its name, specifications, pricing, and launch schedule should be treated as unconfirmed.

Vivo S70 May Feature a 1.5K Visionox OLED Display

According to reports citing tipster Digital Chat Station, the Vivo S70 could feature a 6.59-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The panel is said to use LTPS technology, with Visionox reportedly supplying the display.

The flat-screen design may appeal to users who prefer a conventional display over curved edges. However, details about the refresh rate, peak brightness, screen protection, and other display features have not yet been confirmed.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Chipset Tipped

The Vivo S70 is expected to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, according to current leaks. If accurate, this could provide performance suitable for everyday use, gaming, and demanding applications.

Actual performance will depend on the final hardware configuration, software optimisation, and thermal management. Vivo has not confirmed the processor or released any benchmark results for the rumoured phone.

64MP Periscope Camera Could Be a Major Upgrade

Camera hardware could be one of the key talking points of the Vivo S70. The phone is tipped to feature a 64MP Sony LYT-610 periscope telephoto camera with approximately 3x optical zoom.

Optical zoom uses the camera's optics to magnify distant subjects rather than relying entirely on digital cropping. This can help preserve image detail, although the final results will also depend on the sensor, lens quality, image processing, and shooting conditions.

For comparison, reports say the preceding Vivo S60 features a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. If the leak proves accurate, the S70 could bring a higher-resolution telephoto sensor while retaining a similar optical zoom range.

External Telephoto Converter Support Is Also Tipped

Another reported feature is compatibility with an external telephoto converter. Such an accessory could extend the phone's zoom capabilities for photographing distant subjects.

However, important details remain unknown, including the accessory's design, supported magnification, compatibility, price, and availability. Vivo has not officially confirmed that the converter will be offered with the S70.

Did Vivo Test a Secondary Rear Display?

Reports have also mentioned an early Vivo S70 engineering prototype with a small secondary display on the rear. However, subsequent reporting indicates that the company dropped the feature during development.

As a result, a rear display should not be treated as an expected feature of the final retail model unless Vivo or a reliable new report confirms otherwise.

Vivo S70 Launch Date, Price and Availability

The Vivo S70 is rumoured to launch in China as early as November 2026. However, the company has not announced an official launch date or confirmed whether the phone will be released in India or other markets.

Details about the battery, charging speed, RAM, storage options, and price also remain unavailable. Buyers should wait for an official announcement before relying on the leaked specifications.

Vivo X500 E Also Appears in Reports

Separately, the rumoured Vivo X500 E has appeared in reports concerning the Google Play Console and Bluetooth SIG. Some listings have been linked to the model identifiers V2656 and V2648, while speculation has connected the device to the Vivo V80.

The available reports do not establish that all listings refer to the same hardware configuration or confirm that the X500 E is a rebranded V80. Its final specifications, market availability, and launch schedule remain subject to confirmation.
