Chief Minister Yogi's helicopter passed over the Chowk via Rampur Tiraha of Muzaffarnagar from Haridwar Highway. The helicopter left for NCR while showering flowers at Sewaya Toll Plaza, Aughadnath Temple in Meerut. During this, CM Yogi also inspected the entire Mahadev of Baghpat. Seeing the flowers falling from the sky, the devotees of Shiva shook their hands and greeted them. Flowers were showered on Shiva devotees at Khatauli bypass of Muzaffarnagar. A different view was seen during the flower showers in the entire area.
On his return from a two-day visit to Delhi on Monday, the Chief Minister took stock of the Kanwar Yatra in western Uttar Pradesh by helicopter and also showered flowers on the Kanwariyas. Yogi had already instructed the administrative officers to shower flowers on the Kanwariyas by helicopter and monitor the Kanwar Yatra.
This is the first time after the Corona epidemic, that Kanwar Yatra is being organized in the state. There is an influx of Shiva devotees on the streets. Somewhere huge tableaux are being taken out and somewhere kanwariyas wearing Yogi-Modi masks are passing through the streets. The main roads of the decorated cities are lit up with colorful lights to welcome Shiva devotees. Kanwar Seva Camps have been set up at various places.
On July 18, while fixing the responsibility and accountability of senior police and administrative officers posted in the districts through video conferencing, Yogi directed that health checkpoints should be set up at various places along the Kanwar Yatra route and any religious procession or procession should be done. There should be no display of weapons.
The Chief Minister had also said that the Ghaziabad-Haridwar route is the busiest from the point of view of Kanwar Yatra and devotees from other states also come here, so maintain communication with the border states as well. He had directed the District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police to personally visit the spot in case of any untoward information.
