COP26 World Leaders' Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Glasgow to participate in COP26. Britain is chairing COP26 and will conclude on 12 November.

PM Modi will present India's climate action agenda in the meeting today and will tell about the steps taken in this area. India's statement will come after Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. After this, the statement of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will come.

Earlier on reaching here after attending the G20 summit in Rome, Prime Minister Modi tweeted, "Have reached Glasgow. I will be attending COP26, where I look forward to working with other world leaders to address climate change and articulate India's efforts in this regard."

On his arrival at the hotel in Glasgow, the Prime Minister was greeted to the tune of the 'Scottish Bagpipe', where a large group of representatives of the overseas Indian and Indian diaspora was already present to welcome him. The group also raised slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai".

After participating in COP26, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. According to official sources, the Johnson-Modi talks are expected to be brief and focus on the UK-India climate nexus.

There will be a review of the 2030 blueprint of the UK-India Strategic Alliance, which was signed during a digital meeting of the two leaders in May this year. It is understood that Prime Minister Modi will invite his British counterpart Johnson to visit India.
