Corona in the country: 2.64 lakh infected were found in a day, 1.09 lakh were cured; Schools in MP closed till 31 January

In the last 24 hours, 2 lakh 64 thousand 202 corona infections were found in the country. 1 lakh 9 thousand 345 patients were cured and 315 died. For the first time in the third wave of Corona, most infected people have been found in a day and most have been cured. So far, a total of 3.65 crore people have been affected by the infection in the country, out of which 3.48 crore people have been cured. So far 4 lakh 85 thousand 350 people have died.

 

Because of the speed of infection in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced the closure of all schools till January 31. There will be pre-board tech home exams from January 20. That is, the paper will have to be solved from home. All kinds of fairs, religious events, and rallies have also been banned. However, the exemption has been given to celebrate Sankranti under the Covid rules.

 

Condition of 5 most affected states

 

1. Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, 46,406 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. During this, 34,658 people were discharged and 36 deaths were recorded. The special thing is that no new patient of Omicron has been found in the state today. The total active cases in the state have increased to 2.51 lakh. So far 70.81 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 66.83 lakh people have been cured, while 1,41,737 people died. The positivity rate in the state is 22%.

 

On the other hand, there has been a decrease of 16% in new corona cases in Mumbai on Thursday. On Thursday, 13,702 new cases have been reported, while on Wednesday 16,420 new cases were found. During the last 24 hours, 20,849 people have been discharged and 6 people have died in the metro city. The total active cases have also come down again below 1 lakh. Now there are 95,123 active cases in Mumbai.

 

2. Delhi

On Thursday, 28,867 new corona cases have been found in Delhi. This is the highest number of newly infected in a day in the state after 8 months. It had received such a large number of patients on May 3 last year during the first second wave. The positivity rate in the national capital has also increased from 26% to 29%. This means that now one patient is getting infected for every three tests.

 

During the last 24 hours in the capital, 31 people died, but 22,121 patients have been cured. The total active cases in the capital now stand at 94,160, while the positivity rate has reached 29%. The total number of infected has reached 16.46 lakh, out of which 15.27 lakh people have been cured. So far 25,271 people have died in the capital.

 

3. Karnataka

On Thursday, 25,005 people were found infected here, while 2363 people were cured and 8 people died. So far 31.24 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 29.70 lakh people have been cured, while 38,397 people died. Here too, the number of active cases has exceeded 1 lakh. Now 1,15,733 patients are being treated here. Here the positivity rate has become 12%.

 

4. West Bengal

23,467 new cases have been found in West Bengal on Thursday. In Bengal, 8139 patients have been cured during this period, while 26 people have died. The state's positivity rate is still at 32%. A total of 18.41 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 16.89 lakh people have recovered. A total of 19,985 people have died in the state. Now the total active cases in Bengal are 1 lakh 31 thousand 553.

 

5. Tamil Nadu

Here on Thursday, 20,911 new cases were reported during 24 hours, while 6235 patients were cured and 25 people died. So far, more than 28.68 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 27.27 lakh people have been cured, while 36,930 people died. Here the number of active cases has crossed 1 lakh. Now the total active cases are 1,03,610. The positivity rate in Tamil Nadu has increased to 13%.

 

9 other major states

 

1. Rajasthan

Here on Thursday, 9,881 people were found infected, while 2757 people were cured and 7 people died. So far, more than 10.09 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.53 lakh people have been cured, while 8,988 people died. There are 46,565 active cases here.

 

2. Madhya Pradesh

The situation is worsening in Madhya Pradesh due to Corona. 4755 positives were found in the state in 24 hours. Active cases have gone up to 21394. The positivity rate reached 6%. On Thursday, 1008 new cases were found in Bhopal. These include Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, 73 children aged 1 to 18 years, 72 elderly people above the age of 61, and 10 doctors. Among the newly infected, two children are just one year old. So far 5 ministers, 2 MLAs, two former MPs, ten IAS, and 2 IPS have been infected in the third wave.

 

3. Uttar Pradesh

On Thursday, 14,735 people were found infected here. 1062 people have been cured and 6 deaths have been recorded in the state. So far, more than 17.85 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 16.91 lakh people have been cured, while 22,946 people died. 71,022 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state.

 

4. Punjab

On Thursday, 5,939 people were found infected here. 2330 people were cured and 6 patients died. So far, more than 6.42 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 5.95 lakh people have been cured, while 16,708 people died. A total of 30,684 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
