Corona in the country: 2.86 lakh new cases in 24 hours, 573 deaths; Covexin and Coveshield will be available in private hospitals for Rs 425, DCGI approves

The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given conditional market approval for Covishield and Covaxin. With the market approval, the cost of a single dose of the vaccine is Rs 275. 150 in which Rs. A service charge will also be added. In this way, the vaccine will be available in the market for Rs 425. So far, a dose of Covaxin has been available for Rs 1,200, while Coveshield has been getting Rs 780 under a private facility.

 

The positivity rate of corona cases increased in the country

On Wednesday, 2 lakh 86 thousand 384 new corona infections were found in the country. During this 3.06 lakh people were cured, while 573 people have died. At the same time, 470 more infections have been found than the previous day. A day before this, on Tuesday, 2,85,914 people were found infected and 659 people died.

 

At present, the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment in the country is 22.02 lakh. Since the beginning of the epidemic, about 4.03 crore people have been affected by the infection in the country.

 

Meanwhile, the positivity rate was recorded at 19.5% on Wednesday. The positivity rate on Tuesday was 16%. Despite a mere 0.1% increase in daily new cases, the increase in positivity rate by about 20% is a matter of concern.

 

Odd-even rule removed but night curfew continues

The review meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority was held on Thursday. In which it has been decided to remove the weekend curfew from Delhi. Schools are currently closed, whether to open them or not will be decided in the next meeting. Apart from this, the odd-even formula will also be removed from the market and shops. DDMA has given instructions to open theatres-bars and restaurants with 50% capacity. Apart from this, 200 people will be able to attend the wedding ceremony. At the same time, government offices will also open with 50% capacity.

All schools in Tamil Nadu will open from February 1 to 12th. The time of ban, which came into force in the state on January 31, is coming to an end.

The Haryana government on Wednesday announced to extend the corona ban till February 10. Under the order, shopping malls and markets have been allowed to open till 7 pm. Earlier this permission was given till 6 pm.

 

Condition of 5 most affected states

 

1. Kerala: 5 thousand decreases in new cases compared to the previous day

49,771 new infections have been found in the state on Wednesday, while 34,439 patients have been cured and 63 people have died. A day before this, 55,475 new infections were found on Tuesday and 70 people died.

 

There has been a decrease of 5,704 in new cases on Wednesday as compared to Tuesday. So far, a total of 57.74 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 54.21 lakh people have been cured, while 52,281 people died. The number of active cases is 3,00556. The positivity rate here is 48.06%.

 

2. Karnataka: 18% increase in new cases in a day

On Wednesday, 48,905 new cases of corona have been found in Karnataka. 41,699 patients have defeated Corona, while 39 corona infected have died. Earlier on Tuesday, 41,400 new cases of the corona were found and 52 corona infected died. At present, the number of patients undergoing treatment here is 3.57 lakh, while the positivity rate is 22.51%.

 

3. Maharashtra: More cured patients than new cases

In Maharashtra, 35,756 new cases of Covid-19 were found in the last 24 hours. During this 79 people died and 39,857 patients were cured. On Tuesday, 33,914 new cases were found and 86 people died. The total active cases in the state now stand at 2.98 lakh. So far, a total of 76.05 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 71.60 lakh people have been cured, while 1.42 lakh people died. The positivity rate is 19.54%.

 

4. Tamil Nadu: The pace of new cases stabilizes

29,976 new cases have been reported here on Wednesday. At the same time, 25,507 people have been cured of the disease and 47 people have lost their lives. Earlier on Tuesday, 30,055 new cases were found and 48 people died. So far, a total of 32.24 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 29.73 lakh people have been cured, while 37,359 people have died. Active cases are 2,13,692 and the positivity rate is 19.86%.

 

5. Gujarat: Reduction in positivity rate compared to the previous day

On Wednesday, 14,781 new cases were reported here, while 20,829 patients were cured and 21 people died. Earlier on Tuesday, 16,608 new cases were found and 28 people died. So far, more than 11.07 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 9.69 lakh people have been cured. The total active cases here are 1,28,192. The positivity rate has come down from 14.4% to 10.90%.

1. Andhra Pradesh: New Cases Decrease

In the last 24 hours, 13,819 new cases were reported here, while 8,687 people were cured and 9 people died. On Tuesday, 13,618 new cases were reported here and 12 people died. So far 22.22 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 21.01 lakh people have been cured, while 14,570 people have died. Active cases are 1,06,318. The positivity rate has come down from 29.45% to 27.71%.

 

2. Uttar Pradesh: Death toll increased in the state

In the last 24 hours, 10,876 people were found infected here. 17,074 people have recovered and 23 deaths have been recorded. Earlier on Tuesday, 11,529 people were found infected and 15 deaths were recorded. So far 19.80 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 18.76 lakh people have been cured, while 23,111 people died. 80,342 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the state.

 

3. Rajasthan: The number of newly infected increases again

On Wednesday, 13,049 new cases were reported here, while 11,572 people were cured, while 21 people died. Earlier on Tuesday, 9,771 new cases were reported and 23 people died. So far, 11.62 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.58 lakh people have been cured, while 9,161 people died. There are 94,148 active cases here. The positivity rate is 19.71%.

 

4. Madhya Pradesh: 72,224 Active Cases

There were 9,966 new cases in 24 hours and 8,604 people were cured. During this 8 patients have died. A day before this, on Tuesday, 9,451 new cases were reported here and 7 patients died. So far, more than 9.24 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.41 lakh people have been cured, while 10,591 people died. 72,224 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 11.9%.

 

5. Haryana: The pace of new cases has stabilized

In the last 24 hours, 6351 people were found infected in the state. 9571 people were cured and 7 people have died. Here on Tuesday, 6,029 people were found infected and 18 people died. So far, more than 9.27 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 8.77 lakh people have been cured, while 10,219 people died. A total of 39,565 are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 16.40%.

 

6. Delhi: Positivity rate 10.59%,

On Tuesday, 7,498 new cases were registered in Delhi and 29 people died. 11,164 people have also been cured. A day earlier on Tuesday, 6,028 new cases were registered and 31 people died. So far, more than 18.10 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 17.46 lakh have been cured while 25,710 died. Here the positivity rate has come down to 10.59%.

 

7. Chhattisgarh: The number of new infected decreased

On the previous day, 3,318 new infections were found in the state. 4,382 patients were cured and 10 patients died. On Tuesday, 4,914 new infections were found and 23 patients died. So far, 11.08 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 10.65 lakh people have been cured, while 13,779 people died. A total of 29,180 patients are currently undergoing treatment. The positivity rate is 15%.

 

8. West Bengal: Positivity rate 7.32%

On Wednesday, 4,969 new cases have been found in West Bengal. During this, 17,734 patients were cured, while 34 people have died. On Tuesday, 4,494 new cases were found here and 36 people died. A total of 19.79 lakh cases have been found in the state so far, while 18.91 lakh people have recovered. A total of 20,445 people have died. Active cases are 67,369. The positivity rate here is 7.32%.

 

9. Punjab: 1000 increase in new infected

In Punjab, 4,990 new infected have been found on the last day and 22 people have died. 7,238 people have also recovered from the infection. A day earlier on Tuesday, 3,910 new infected were found and 36 people died. So far 7.28 lakh people have come under the grip of infection in the state. Of these, 6.70 lakh people have been cured, while 17,081 people died. Active cases are 40,319.

 

10. Bihar: Double the number of new cases cured

2120 new infections have been found here on Wednesday. 4,287 people were cured and 4 died. On Tuesday, 2,362 new infections were found in the state and 4 had died. So far more than 8.17 lakh people have come under the grip of infection. Of these, 7.93 lakh people have been cured, while 12,204 people have died. A total of 12,596 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
