The new variant of Coronavirus has created a furor in many countries. Now the entry of this virus has happened in India as well. Cases of this new variant are coming up in many states. Health experts say that this virus arrived in India four months ago, but its cases had not increased. The symptoms of the BF.7 variant are not severe, but it has the potential to spread rapidly. Due to this, an infected person can infect 18 people simultaneously. However, still more cases of Omicron's XBB variant are coming to the fore in India.

Omicron BF.7 is causing havoc in China, but cases of the XBB variant are still being reported in India. The XBB variant is composed of BA.2.10.1 and BA.2.75. It is spread in India as well as in 34 other countries. This variant is the most dangerous of all variants in the Omicron family. In India, currently, BF.7 cases have been found in Gujarat and Odisha. However, the BF.7 variant does not have any trademark features of its own. But infected people are mostly experiencing upper respiratory infections. They are experiencing symptoms like fever, sore throat, runny nose, and cough. Some people are also having stomach problems like diarrhea and vomiting.

Identify symptoms like this

Dr. N.K. According to Arora, the symptoms of this variant will also look like other Covid-19 variants. But if we talk about this new variant, then body pain is its main symptom. If someone is having body pain for a long time, then he will need to get the Covid test done. In addition, sore throat, fatigue, phlegm, and runny nose can also be symptoms of this variant.

Safdarjung Hospital Professor and Director of Community Medicine Dr. Jugal Kishore Amar says in a discussion with Ujala that there has been no significant change in symptoms of Covid in the last year. This may be because the Omicron variant has been the dominant strain worldwide for the past year. No new versions have been detected since the end of the delta. This means that the symptoms that are being found now are those of Omicron. However, the XBB variant dominates in India. Most people are still in its grip. In this, people are seeing symptoms like fever, runny nose, fatigue, body ache, headache, sore throat, and shortness of breath.

XBB variant is being found in more people

BF.7 has been found in several other countries around the world, including the US, UK, Belgium, Germany, France, and Denmark, but it may not necessarily be as dangerous in countries other than China. Even in India, its cases are rarely seen. While the cases of sub-variant XBB of the Omicron variant itself are coming to the fore. Dr. N.K. According to Arora, this is the strain throughout the country and 40 to 50 percent of all the patients of Covid are getting XBB infection. It has been said to be 5 times more deadly than the delta variant. This subvariant was first identified in Singapore and the US.

New variant cases may increase in January

The month of January will be very important for India, considering how the cases of Covid have increased rapidly in China, Japan as well as in America and some countries of Europe. Sources in the Union Health Ministry said that for 30 to 40 days people will have to be very careful. All the rules of prevention from Covid including wearing masks have to be followed strictly. If we look at the trend of the previous waves of Covid, after 10 days of increase in cases in China, Japan, and Korea, cases increase in Europe and then in countries of America, and Latin America. The cases increase in India as well. If the trend remains the same this time too, then the cases of corona may increase in the country in January, but the rate of hospitalization will remain low.
