There is good news about indigenous covaxin amid Corona being dangerous. According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, America's chief medical adviser, and epidemic top expert, covaxin is also effective in neutralizing Corona's new variant 617.

Fauci says that the data of people applying covaxin in India has revealed the effect of the vaccine. Therefore, despite the difficult situation in India, vaccination can prove to be very important.

What is variant 617?

617 variants are believed to be the reason for the sudden rise in Corona cases in India. Delhi and Maharashtra have the highest number of cases of this variant.

ICMR has also said - Covaxin double mutants also work against

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said on April 20 that covaxin also protects against double mutant corona variants. Based on its study, ICMR said that this vaccine is also effective on the Brazilian variant, the UK variant, and the South African variant and gives protection against them.

These variants are being blamed for the ongoing second wave in the country. The double mutant corona variant encountered in 10 states of India is the deadliest. It not only transmits rapidly but also causes a lot of damage in a very short period. At the same time, UK, Brazil, and South African variants have also emerged in the growing re-infection cases in India.

Covaxin effective up to 78% in clinical trials

In the interim clinical trial report of Covaxin's third phase, Hyderabad-based company Bharat Biotech and ICMR said that Covaxin is clinically 78% and 100% effective on patients severely affected by Corona. The company did 87 analysis of Corona in its analysis. The final report regarding the vaccine will be released in June.
