Covid-19: Construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham started amidst social distance

The construction work of Kashi Vishwanath Dham has started from Monday amidst social distancing. After getting instructions from the government, the temple administration has allowed the executive body to get the work done. Earlier on Sunday night, the entire workplace has been sealed. No one is allowed to go to the workplace other than the employees of the agency.

 

The construction work of Vishwanath Dham, built from Kashi Vishwanath Temple to the banks of the Ganges, with the cost of Rs 339 crore, started on 17 January. In the first phase, the working organization PSP started construction of the city museum. Apart from this, work of piling, foundations and basements was also started. Work was going on on a war-footing through big machines that the temple administration stopped construction on March 21, following the order of Janata curfew and lockdown on March 22. Since then 150 workers and 30 other workers engaged in construction were stopped at the workplace. Food and other essential goods were being supplied to them by the executive body. The temple administration started talks with the officials of the government to get the works affected due to the lockdown. After negotiations starting two-three days, the government has given permission with conditions.

 

Temple CEO Vishal Singh said that after getting permission from the government, several decisions were taken to start the work in a meeting with the officials of the executive body and the monitoring public works department. In which 100% seal will be given to the workplace, the duty of policemen at construction site on behalf of Manikarnika Ghat and for the people working and transport vehicles will be passed separately.

 

Thermal scanning of employees and workers

Before starting the work, thermal scanning of the employees and laborers engaged in the work was also done. For this, a team of doctors of the district hospital was appointed. During this time everyone's health was found to be normal. All will be allowed to work on receiving the investigation report.

 

Workplace and employees will be sanitized in the morning and evening

The CEO said that the workplace would be sanitized before starting work every day and after work was stopped. The executing agency has been directed to provide employees with tests and treatment on masks, globs and any employee's health condition. During this time no employee's acquaintance or relative will be allowed to visit or meet at the workplace.

 

Centralized sanitation tunnel will be made-

According to the temple administration, a centralized sanitized tunnel will be built at the entrance to the workplace. A discussion has also been held with a company regarding this. After the tunnel is built, the employee will go through it and go to the workplace

 

Restraint on outsider traffic

People living in the remaining buildings in the middle of the workplace have been barred from moving. They have been asked to get the required items through home delivery. If there is any arbitrariness in it, they will be shifted out of the workplace through immediate administration.

 

Kashi Vishwanath Temple closed for general devotees till 30

The chief executive officer of the temple said that the temple has been closed for general devotees till April 30. The daily aarti and pujan will continue as usual. Only priests and necessary servants will be able to go in it.

 

Deadline may increase by two to three months

Due to the lockdown, the deadline for construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham (Corridor) may increase by two to three months. The project has been eclipsed in time for completion in 18 months. Work orders placed for construction have been sealed for the next two months. The project manager of the executive body, Shashikant Prajapati, says that the closure of the work has made a big impact. It is not possible to work within a predetermined time frame.
