The corona epidemic has increased the importance of life insurance many times. Those who earlier ignored insurance as wasteful expenditure, are also wearing protective cover of health and life insurance to their families today. At present, some insurance policies are easily accessible to the lower-income group. One of them is the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY). In this plan, the Modi government provides life insurance with a very cheap premium.

In fact, from the year 2015, the Government of India had introduced two affordable insurance schemes for most savings account holders. It has the first - Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) with a premium of Rs 330 and the second - Prime Minister Health Protection Insurance Scheme (PMSBY) with a premium of Rs 12.

You can get a Bima cover of up to 2 lakh rupees during the Covid-19 epidemic in being a Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Insurance Scheme. PMJJBY provides life cover for 55 years. This insurance can be availed only when the bank has a savings account.

Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is for every Indian. Under this scheme, adults from 18 to 50 years can be insured. Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana is available like other life insurance. It involves tie-ups between banks and life insurance companies for registration.

The annual premium in PMJJBY is Rs 330. There is an insurance cover of 2 lakh rupees. It renews every year. The term of the insurance is between 1 June to 31 May.

Here, let us know that in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, if a policyholder is unable to pay the premium, then he can return it by paying the annual premium again. However, for this, he has to give a self-declaration of his good health.

Life cover is available till the age of 55 years under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Insurance cover is provided on the untoward plan. Keep in mind that any customer can join this scheme only with a bank account and an insurance company.

In case of misbehavior with the insured in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the nominee can claim the claim form from the bank where the bank account is filled, along with the death certificate (death certificate). On this, 2 lakh rupees are transferred to the nominee.
