If you also felt that the coronavirus is gone now, then the reports coming out these days must have broken this illusion. Already health experts have been saying that the coronavirus is constantly among us and its danger increases with mutation from time to time. Something similar is happening this time too.

Corona cases are being seen increasing in many countries of the world. The spread of infection is also very fast in the Indian population, due to which the total active cases in the country have crossed the 4000 mark on June 3 (Tuesday). So far this year, 37 people have also died due to infection.

If we look at the figures globally, Thailand is witnessing a severe outbreak of corona. According to local media reports, more than two and a half lakh people have been infected in Thailand so far this year. These figures are more scary because the variant (NB.1.8.1) from India is also active in Thailand.

Infection increased in Thailand, and the threat of NB.1.8.1 variant

According to media reports, Thailand has been warned about increasing cases due to the Omicron variant of Corona NB.1.8.1. People have been advised to be cautious and follow preventive measures. As of May 30, 41,283 new cases were reported, taking the total to 2.57 lakh cases so far this year. The total number of deaths here has gone up to 52.

According to reports, the highest number of cases have been seen in the metropolitan area of Bangkok, where the infection rate is highest among working-age adults, students, children, and the elderly population. In a statement issued on May 31, health officials urged people to closely monitor the situation and avoid infection, especially when this variant is spreading rapidly in different areas.

WHO warned

Apart from this, the World Health Organization (WHO) has also warned that the situation is becoming worrisome. Parts of Southeast Asia and the eastern Mediterranean are seeing a significant increase in the virus.
