
The Indian healthcare industry ranks second in the world in terms of cyber attacks. America ranks first. According to a report released on Tuesday by cyber security firm CloudSec, the country accounted for 7.7 percent of the total cyber attacks on the healthcare industry worldwide in 2021.
The US ranks first in the world with 28 percent of cyber attacks in the region, the firm said in its report on the rise in cyber attacks in the global healthcare sector. India's healthcare industry was hit by over 71 lakh cyber attacks in 2021. Thus, India ranked second in the world with a 7.7 percent share. The firm reported that cyberattacks have increased due to technological advances in the healthcare industry. clouds provide cyber threat intelligence to the Indian cyber security watchdog CERT-In.
