
Spiritual guru Mahant Swami Maharaj of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday for the grand inauguration of the first Hindu temple in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The spiritual leader will preside over the historic inauguration of the first Hindu temple in the Gulf country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the temple on February 14, a few days after the 'Pran Pratishtha' of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Mahant Swami Maharaj was warmly welcomed as a state guest by Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance of the UAE. Welcoming the spiritual leader, the minister said, "Welcome to the UAE. Our country is blessed by your presence. We are touched by your kindness and we feel your prayers."

As soon as the BAPS spiritual leader arrived in Abu Dhabi, many senior members and devotees of the Swaminarayan Sanstha also came to welcome him. Prime Minister Modi is going to inaugurate the temple on February 14 in the presence of saints, swamis, and thousands of devotees. An atmosphere of religious enthusiasm and celebration has already been established with the arrival of thousands of devotees in the huge complex.

Modi is also set to address the Indian diaspora at the grand Sheikh Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi. "The event titled 'Ahlan Modi' is expected to be attended by over 50,000 people."
