According to the state government, the salary of government employees will be increased at the rate of 6 and 15 percent in the seventh and sixth pay commission from August 1 of the year. According to the government, this increase is going to put an additional burden of Rs 2160 crore on the financial fund of the state government. The Chhattisgarh officers and employees' federation last month went on a five-day strike for their various demands, including dearness allowance and a hike in house rent allowance (HRA).
