The Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh governments have increased the dearness allowance of their employees by up to six percent. The Maharashtra government has increased the dearness allowance by three percent. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given his consent to increase the DA by six percent for the state employees. Due to this, the Tamil Nadu government had also announced to increase in the dearness allowance.

 

Maharashtra government increased dearness allowance

 

It has been told from the office of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde that in the cabinet meeting chaired by the CM, it has been decided to increase the dearness allowance. According to the Chief Minister's Office, the decision of the revised DA for the employees will be applicable from August. According to a statement issued by the CMO, after this hike, the dearness allowance has now been reduced to 34 percent of the basic pay.

 

Chhattisgarh government also announced

 

The Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh has also decided to increase the dearness allowance. The government has told that this will benefit 3.8 lakh government employees of the state. According to the state government, the salary of government employees will be increased at the rate of 6 and 15 percent in the seventh and sixth pay commission from August 1 of the year. According to the government, this increase is going to put an additional burden of Rs 2160 crore on the financial fund of the state government. The Chhattisgarh officers and employees' federation last month went on a five-day strike for their various demands, including dearness allowance and a hike in house rent allowance (HRA).

 

Tamil Nadu had also increased dearness allowance from July 1, will get this much salary

 

Let us inform you that earlier Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had also announced to increase in dearness allowance for employees and pensioners in the past. This has been increased to 34 percent with effect from July 1, 2022. Announcing this decision, Tamil Nadu CM said that this decision will benefit 16 lakh employees and an additional expenditure of Rs 1,947.60 crore will be incurred. Stalin announced to increase in the pension for freedom fighters from Rs 18,000 per month to Rs 20,000 per month and family pension and descendants of eminent leaders of the freedom movement from Rs 9,000 to Rs 10,000.
