DC vs KKR: Sunil Narine can create history today, will become the first foreign spinner to do such a feat in IPL

The 41st match of IPL 2022 between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders is to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today. In this match, KKR's star spinner Sunil Narine has a chance to create history. If Narine takes a wicket against Delhi, he will complete his 150-wicket haul in the IPL and will become the first overseas spinner to do so in this colorful league.

 

8 players have touched 150 wickets in IPL

 

Sunil Narine will become the third foreign player and 9th player to touch the 150-wicket mark in IPL as soon as he takes a wicket. Before Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo and Lasith Malinga are the foreign players to take 150 wickets. The names of Amit Mishra, Piyush Chawla, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Harbhajan Singh are included in this list.

The West Indies bowler has played 142 matches in the IPL so far in which he has taken 149 wickets at an average of 24.70. During this, Narine's best performance has been to take 5 wickets by spending 19 runs. Sunil Narine's economy has been 6.66 in their IPL career.

 

KKR will clash with Delhi for the second time

 

The teams of Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders will face each other for the second time in IPL 2022. When these two teams met for the first time in season 15, Delhi beat Kolkata by 44 runs. But in this match too, Naren's performance was excellent. Sunil took two wickets for 21 runs in the quota of 4 overs. Even today, KKR will expect a similar performance from this swashbuckling spinner.
