New Delhi, Feb 20 (IANS) Trains between Sarita Vihar and Badarpur section will run on single line for a few hours on specific days beginning Saturday, the Delhi Metro said Friday adding that it will have no major impact on passenger movement.
Train services between the two stations which fall on Line 6 operating from Mandi House to Badarpur would run on single line Feb 21 and 28 till 11 p.m.
Trains will also run on single line from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb 22 and March 1.
Delhi Metro in a statement said the frequency during this period would be "approximately 16 minutes, which is more or less similar to a normal day's schedule, with no major impact on passenger movement from one end to another end of the line".
"This is necessitated due to OHE (Over Head Electricity) interlinking work planned by DMRC on these days between Badarpur end of Line-6 with upcoming extension of Line-6 towards Faridabad side," the statement added.
Two stations - Mohan Estate and Tughlakabad - fall between the Sarita Vihar and Badarpur stations.
Metro services operate from 6 a.m. till about 11 p.m.
