The Delhi High Court has sought a reply from the Central Government on a letter written by Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Government Manish Sisodia to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh amid deteriorating conditions in the capital Delhi. A bench of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rekha Palli directed Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma to submit a report in this regard after taking instructions from the Central Government.

Senior advocate Abhinav Vashisht said that how can this happen? Oxygen coming from long distances is stopped in the state. Now a hospital stopped the tanker for demanding more oxygen. He said that this is a time when the army's help is sought. He has other equipment including a tanker and can do it. In response, Delhi Government Standing Counsel Rahul Mehra told the bench that on May 2, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has conveyed the defense minister Rajnath Singh regarding the help of the army. He also read the letter written in this regard. Senior advocate Krishnan Venugopal also suggested to the bench regarding seeking help from the army. He had said that the Army can solve the oxygen problem by building a field hospital.

During the hearing, Delhi HC stated that AAP (Batra Hospital) had asked suppliers to deliver (oxygen cylinder) which was provided. You cannot use force and seize the vehicle. If this happens, the entire system will collapse.
