Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film, ‘Dhurandhar 2’, is scheduled to have paid previews in several cinemas today. However, the paid premiere shows slated for Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana have been cancelled just a few hours before their scheduled start time. The original Hindi version of the film will now be screened in place of these regional-language shows. The reason for this last-minute cancellation is the unavailability of the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions of the film.
‘Dhurandhar 2’ Shows Cancelled
The film’s paid preview shows were scheduled to begin on Wednesday at 5:30 PM; however, cinema chains announced that the Tamil paid preview shows had to be cancelled due to the unavailability of the Tamil version.
They further stated that Hindi paid preview shows would now be screened in place of these cancelled shows. Additionally, apologizing for the inconvenience caused, they confirmed that the process of issuing refunds to those who had purchased tickets has already begun.
Dubbing Work Incomplete in the South
According to reports, the delay stems from logistical hurdles in delivering the film’s content to the cinemas. While the Hindi version of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has successfully reached cinemas across the country, the subtitle package is also expected to arrive shortly.
Reports also suggest that although the filmmakers had dispatched the Hindi version of the film to the cinemas, the dubbing work for the Tamil and Telugu versions had not yet been completed. This delay in post-production ultimately made it impossible to screen the film in these regional languages, necessitating the cancellation of the premieres.
The Film May Benefit
Directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2026. The film is set to release worldwide on March 19 and is expected to capitalize on the Eid weekend. There is considerable excitement surrounding the film among the public. The movie features an ensemble cast of major stars, including Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal.
