Earthquake tremors are being felt frequently in India. At the same time, once again a strong earthquake has occurred in the entire North India including Delhi-NCR, UP, Bihar, and Uttarakhand. The earthquake's tremors were so strong that the earth kept shaking for 10 to 20 seconds. The earthquake occurred at around 11:30 p.m. The chandeliers of the houses were shaking very fast. Nepal was the epicenter of the earthquake. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 6.4 on the Richter scale.

The woman said- suddenly the bed started shaking

As soon as the earthquake occurred, people came out of their homes, due to the strong tremors of the earthquake, there was panic among the people. Some women came out with their small children in their arms. Aarti, a resident of Delhi, said that I was lying on the bed and the bed started shaking, I called my sister who was sleeping next to me, and when we went to the balcony, there was a lot of noise coming from outside. After this, we also came out.

People gathered on the road outside the society

The special thing is that in Noida, people are living in flats from the 20th to the 30th floor. In such a situation, earthquake shocks put them in trouble. As soon as the earthquake was felt during the night, people came down the stairs instead of the lift and gathered on the road outside the society.

Why do earthquakes occur?

The Earth has four major layers, which are called inner core, outer core, mantle, and crust. According to the information, the plates present under the earth keep rotating, when they collide with each other, vibrations start under the earth's surface. When these plates shift from their place, earthquake tremors are felt. This place is most affected by earthquakes. However, if the intensity of the earthquake is high then its tremors are felt over long distances.

What to do during an earthquake?

When you feel the tremors of an earthquake, first of all, remain calm and reassure the people around you.

During this time, move away from buildings to open spaces where there are no buildings nearby.

When earthquake tremors are felt, people present at home should immediately take precautions. Hide under a desk, table, or bed. During this time he should maintain distance from glass doors, mirrors, and windows.
