Prime Minister Narendra Modi's congratulatory message to the Indian cricket team for winning the Asia Cup final against Pakistan has gone viral. PM Modi's tweet has been reposted nearly 109,000 times and viewed 27.7 million times. More than 25,000 people responded to PM Modi's late-night post, while over 436,000 people liked it. This number is steadily increasing.

PM Modi made this post.

After India's resounding victory in the Asia Cup final, PM Modi wrote on Twitter, "Operation Sindoor on the sports field. The result was the same: India won." The PM's post was a reference to Operation Sindoor, launched by the Indian Armed Forces in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in May. Nine terrorist hideouts were destroyed in airstrikes, and hundreds of terrorists were killed. Furthermore, Pakistan's crushing defeat forced it to call for a ceasefire within three days.

Suryakumar Yadav said, "The leader of the country is on the front foot." Reacting to PM Modi's post, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav said, "It's great when the leader of the country bats on the front foot. His post made it seem as if he took the strike and scored a flurry of runs. It was great to see, and when Sir is leading from the front, the players will definitely play with freedom. The most important thing is that the entire country is celebrating. When we return to India, it will feel good, and we will have more motivation and encouragement to perform even better."

India did not lift the winner's trophy.

Controversy erupted after India's victory when India refused to accept the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi, President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The Indian team did not lift the trophy, and the awards ceremony ended there. Following this, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Devajit Saikia announced that Naqvi had taken the trophy to his hotel room and the board would complain to the ICC.
