Earthquake in Iran: Earthquake tremors were felt in Iran and UAE, magnitude of 5.6 on the Richter scale

Moderate tremors of earthquake were felt in southern Iran on Wednesday. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported that the magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter scale was 5.6. The tremors were felt in southern Iran as well as in the United Arab Emirates.

Iranian state TV reported that rescue teams were dispatched for relief and rescue operations after the tremors were felt. However, he added that no casualties were reported from the quake. According to the EMSC, the earthquake had a depth of 10 km and its epicenter was about 88 km northwest of Ras Al Khaimah city in the United Arab Emirates.
