A special vaccination campaign will be launched for the elderly in China. Along with this, many strict restrictions imposed for the prevention of corona in China can also be banned. People's 'rebellion' against the Xi Jinping government is being cited as a major reason behind the relaxation of the rules against this corona by the Chinese government. Let us inform you that people are protesting against the government after being fed up with the strict zero covid policy of President Xi Jinping in China. Significantly, after the announcement of the National Health Commission on Monday to run a vaccination campaign for the elderly, the stock market has gained momentum.

It is not possible to eliminate the zero-covid policy at this time

However, Chinese health experts and economists have warned that the vaccination campaign will take several months. In addition, many more hospitals have to be built in China and a long-term strategy against the virus needs to be formulated. The Health Department further informed that the 'Zero Covid Policy' may remain in force till the middle of the year 2023 and possibly till 2024.

Mark Williams, the chief Asia economist at Capital Economics, said, “China is not in a position to eliminate its zero-covid policy at this time. The healthcare capacity in China is very weak. Families who have been confined to their homes for four months say they have been struggling for food and medicine.

The Elderly will get vaccine facility through the mobile vaccination unit

The National Health Commission said that people above the age of 60 years will be vaccinated in the vaccination campaign. The commission further informed that all those elders who are above 70 or 80 years of age and who are unable to go out of the house and get vaccinated, will be provided with the facility of mobile vaccination unit. This means they will be vaccinated by going to their homes.

According to the commission, nine out of 10 Chinese people have been vaccinated, but only 66 percent of people over the age of 80 have had a single shot of the vaccine, while 40 percent have had a booster shot. According to the commission, 86 percent of people above the age of 60 have been vaccinated. Commission spokesperson Mi Feng said, "We hope that our country's elders will actively participate in this campaign."
