In this Union Budget 2025, big announcements related to IITs, medical colleges, and artificial intelligence have been made. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Centers of Excellence will be established in the country, which will be based on AI, and a budget of Rs 500 crore will be allocated for these centers. Also, she talked about expansion in IITs. The Finance Minister said the number of students in 23 IITs has increased by 100% in the last 10 years. In such a situation, "Additional infrastructure will be created for 6,500 students in the 5 IITs created after the year 2014. The Finance Minister also said that the hostels and basic facilities will also be expanded in IIT Patna so that the students there can be comfortable. Along with this, 5 National Centers of Excellence will be established for skill development.
Education Budget 2025: Atal Tinkering Lab will be established in 50 thousand schools
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that Atal Tinkering Labs will be established in 50,000 government schools in the next five years. She announced in her budget speech that broadband connectivity will also be extended to all government secondary and primary schools. Also, the startup credit guarantee has been increased to Rs 20 crore. Apart from this, Indian Language Scheme has also been launched.
Education Budget 2025: 75 thousand seats will increase in medical colleges
Along with expanding the IITs, the Finance Minister has also announced seats in medical colleges. According to Nirmala Sitharaman, the target is to increase 75,000 more medical seats in medical colleges across the country in the next five years, while 10 thousand seats will be increased next year. At the same time, at present, 1,12,112 seats are given to the students. Now due to the increase in the number of seats, medical students will be greatly benefited.
